High-voltage TV personality Jim Cramer, host of the popular CNBC show, Mad Money with Jim Cramer is coming to NASCAR.

The American Dream with Jim Cramer will air on NBC and tapes Friday with a live fan audience at a specially constructed stage on pit road at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Fans will discuss their own American dream with the colorful journalist-turned hedge fund manager-turned TV star and Cramer is bringing his own sound effects.

Cramer will also interview Carl Edwards, who owns his own business (an independent record label), and Kyle Busch, who drives the car the way Cramer talks on TV -- high energy, prone to hit the wall, with a no prisoners taken attitude.

On Thursday, Cramer plans to spend time in the Lowe's Motor Speedway garage, interview Casey Mears, and visit the No. 5 hauler. He will also turn a few laps at 180 mph as a ride-along passenger with Brad Keselowski, who pilots the No. 88 Chevy in the Nationwide Series.

The American Dream with Jim Cramer -- the first time the CNBC star is moving from CNBC to NBC -- is scheduled to air in prime time this summer. It's one of several planned specials taking the popular Mad Money host on the road to connect with "Main Street" Americans.

On his daily show, Cramer likes to say, "I'm not here to make friends; I'm here to make money." But he's certainly made a lot of friends in NASCAR.

"The night Jim first mentioned on-air he was going to NASCAR, his fans sent 400 e-mails of support," said Regina Gilgan, executive producer of Mad Money with Jim Cramer. "The reaction has been nothing short of amazing.

"You'd be surprised how many people say their two favorite television shows to watch are NASCAR racing and Mad Money. One Cramer fan e-mailed, 'Racing and the stock market are like a game of chess at 200mph.' Many said they appreciate the role blue-chip sponsors play in NASCAR and often invest in companies in the sport. NASCAR is a great fit for Jim."

Gilgan's favorite e-mail comes from a loyal Cramer fan who watches the show while working on his racecar. He wrote: "I'm trying to make some mad money to support my racing habit."
