SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Michael Schumacher and Jeff Gordon will participate in a charity kart race organized by Felipe Massa in Brazil this weekend.

Seven-time Formula One champion Schumacher and four-time NASCAR champion Gordon will race in the "International Challenge of the Stars" in southern Brazil, organizers confirmed on Tuesday.

Other drivers participating include F1's Rubens Barrichello and Indy Racing League's Tony Kanaan and Vitor Meira. Former MotoGP racer Alex Barros and F1 test drivers Luca Badoer, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Lucas Di Grassi also are scheduled to race.

The event, in its fourth edition, will aid local charities and recent victims of flooding in the region.

Massa was runner-up to Lewis Hamilton in this year's F1 championship.

Gordon finished seventh in the Sprint Cup Series standings, but failed to win a race for the first time since his rookie season of 1993.
