Marc Davis will make his Craftsman Truck Series debut on Sept. 6 at Gateway in the Randy Moss Motorsports No. 81 with sponsorship from Howard University's WHUR 96.3 Radio.

Davis, a Joe Gibbs Racing development driver, is fifth in the Camping World Series East standings with three top-five finishes and six top-10s in 10 starts. As a rookie last year, Davis finished ninth in points with four top-fives and six top-10s in 13 starts.
"This is a big day for me," Davis said. "I have been preparing for it all my life a chance to race in NASCAR on a national level. Randy Moss and David Dollar have given me a wonderful opportunity for my first start in the NCTS."
Davis, 18, began racing at age 6 with BMX, then continued through quarter midgets, bandoleros, and two national championships in legend cars moving to limited and late model divisions. He has also made two starts in the ARCA/REMAX Series.
The pairing of RMM and Davis continues the young driver's tie to both NASCAR and the NFL. Davis' entry in to NASCAR racing came when he caught the eye of Gibbs, a former Washington Redskins head coach. Gibbs immediately recruited Davis for the JGR/Reggie White Diversity Program created for the grassroots stock car level to identify and assist minorities with the desire and talent to make a career in motorsports.
Moss is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots.
