Lap 284 -- CHECKERED FLAG: The race has been called due to rain, giving Kurt Busch the victory in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. Time: 5:15 p.m. ET.

Lap 284 -- RED FLAG: Rain is on the speedway from Turns 4 to Turns 1, and NASCAR is bringing the field down pit road to stop the race. Time: 5:06 p.m. ET.

Lap 282 -- Kyle Busch is on pit road for tires and repairs to his bent-up machine.

Lap 280 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: Sam Hornish Jr. and Clint Bowyer crash when Hornish clips Bowyer, sending Bowyer to the wall and Hornish into the grass. Under caution, Juan Montoya hits Kyle Busch, and Busch spun and collects Montoya as well.

Lap 278 -- GREEN FLAG: Kurt Busch leads the field to green.

Lap 275 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kurt Busch stays out to lead. The top eight cars stay out this time. Tony Stewart will restart 14th as the first car that took tires.

Lap 274 -- Leaders head down pit road:
• Jeff Gordon gets fuel only and keeps his old tires
• Jimmie Johnson gets fuel only like his teammate
• Tony Stewart gets fuel and right-side tires
• Denny Hamlin gets just fuel and is out first

Lap 271 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Dale Earnhardt Jr., David Ragan and Jamie McMurray spin. Earnhardt slowed to go to pit road, and McMurray rear-ended Earnhardt. Ragan got collected when McMurray's car bounced off the wall and into his machine.

Lap 270 -- Brian Vickers is holding strong in seventh. He started the race in 40th but pit strategy has kept him inside the top 10.

Lap 264 -- Jimmie Johnson gets loose trying to pass the lapped car of Robby Gordon. It creates some distance between Johnson and leader Tony Stewart.

Lap 260 -- As they navigate slower traffic, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson run nose-to-tail.

Lap 257 -- Jimmie Johnson has caught Tony Stewart and is on his tail. The margin: 0.284 seconds.

Lap 253 -- Weather is about 25 minutes from the racetrack and headed in the direction of Loudon.

Lap 249 -- Ryan Newman is having a solid day. He is in ninth.

Lap 246 -- Kyle Busch is running 18th. He has yet to crack the top 10 this race.

Lap 243 -- Tony Stewart leads Jimmie Johnson by 1.044 seconds.

Lap 235 -- Kevin Harvick's car is starting to come back to him thanks to the cloudy weather above the track.

Lap 231 -- Jimmie Johnson holds second, while Jeff Gordon falls back and loses third to Denny Hamlin.

Lap 228 -- Jimmie Johnson battles hard with Jeff Gordon for second place, slides into him as they're side-by-side, then takes the spot.

Lap 227 -- Weather is on the way at New Hampshire. The area is under sever thunderstorm warning.

Lap 226 -- Kasey Kahne is on pit road for four new tires.

Lap 225 -- Kasey Kahne spins in the corner with some help from Aric Almirola, but there is no caution. Kahne gets going again and is running 27th.

Lap 222 -- GREEN FLAG: Tony Stewart gets the race back under way.

Lap 217 -- The top four cars stay out while a handful hit pit road:
• Fifth-place Casey Mears is on pit road for fuel only

Lap 216 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Aric Almirola gets tagged by Kasey Kahne in Turn 3. Almirola hangs on as he slides through most of the turn, but finally spins at the corner's exit. He drives away.

Lap 214 -- Aric Almirola gets really loose in the corner, lets up and saves it as he races in a tight pack of cars.

Lap 210 -- Michael McDowell blows up coming to the green on the restart and pulls directly to the bottom. No caution.

Lap 210 -- GREEN FLAG: Tony Stewart leads the field to green.

Lap 209 -- Greg Biffle is clocked for speeding on pit road and will restart at the tail of the longest line.

Lap 208 -- LEAD CHANGE: Joe Nemechek pulls onto pit road, handing Tony Stewart the lead again.

Lap 207 -- LEAD CHANGE: Joe Nemechek stays out to lead.

Lap 206 -- Tony Stewart is credited for leading the lap.

Lap 205 -- Cars are on pit road:
• Jeff Gordon gets a small track-bar adjustment and tires
• Casey Mears is tight and gets an air-pressure adjustment
• Tony Stewart gets a very minor air-pressure adjustment
• Clint Bowyer is loose and gets air pressure and fuel

Lap 203 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: A.J. Allmendinger blows up on the frontstretch. His car catches fire, so he comes to a stop and gets out quickly.

Lap 200 -- Jeff Burton is in eighth and the fastest car on the track.

Lap 195 -- Penske drivers Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman are running 11th and 12th, respectively.

Lap 189 -- Three of the top five drivers are Hendrick cars (Jeff Gordon, Casey Mears and Jimmie Johnson), while the other two are Toyotas (Tony Stewart and Brian Vickers)

Lap 184 -- Kevin Harvick drops two more spots back to eighth and Denny Hamlin is on his bumper.

Lap 180 -- Jamie McMurray is the highest running Ford in 14th.

Lap 176 -- Kevin Harvick is now back to sixth and says his car is junk.

Lap 172 -- Jimmie Johnson is one of the fastest cars on the track and running sixth.

Lap 166 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. is running eighth but is fighting a loose racecar.

Lap 162 -- Jeff Burton has cracked the top 10 and continues his steady run.

Lap 157 -- GREEN FLAG: Tony Stewart leads the field to green.

Lap 153 -- None of the leaders pit. Bobby Labonte is the first car to head down pit road for service. He was running 18th.

Lap 152 -- Jeff Gordon catches and passes Casey Mears for second.

Lap 146 -- Jeff Gordon moves by Kevin Harvick to take third place.

Lap 143 -- GREEN FLAG: Tony Stewart gets the race back under way.

Lap 132 -- Tony Stewart passes Kevin Harvick to take the second spot behind leader Casey Mears.

Lap 131 -- Points leader Kyle Busch is running back in 16th. He did not take tires during the yellow-flag pit stops.

Lap 125 -- Martin Truex Jr. was strong early, but after pit stops he has fallen back to 11th.

Lap 119 -- GEM drivers Patrick Carpentier and Elliott Sadler have fallen back to 31st and 32nd, the final two cars on the lead lap.

Lap 116 -- Casey Mears leads Kevin Harvick by 2.144 seconds.

Lap 111 -- Tony Stewart goes around Brian Vickers for third position.

Lap 108 -- All four Hendrick cars are running in the top 10: Casey Mears (first), Jeff Gordon (sixth), Jimmie Johnson (seventh) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (eighth).

Lap 102 -- Kevin Harvick drives by Brian Vickers on the outside to take second place.

Lap 99 -- Clint Bowyer runs in fifth after starting the race 18th.

Lap 94 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets loose in the corner trying to go three-wide with Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin. He falls back to 10th.

Lap 93 -- Tony Stewart is trying to move around the lapped car of Dave Blaney, gives him a nudge and drives by.

Lap 90 -- GREEN FLAG: Casey Mears gets the race back under way.

• Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets two tires in 8.3 seconds
• Kevin Harvick gets a minor adjustment and two tires

Lap 86 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Dario Franchitti spins around in Turn 4 after getting some contact from David Reutimann. Franchitti spins and hits the wall on the driver's side. He drives away with some left-front damage.

Lap 80 -- After pit stops, Jimmie Johnson is up to eighth position. He started 23rd and had a strong car during the first green-flag run.

Lap 78 -- Kevin Harvick's lead on Kasey Kahne is 1.113 seconds.

Lap 74 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kevin Harvick is the new leader after pit stops.

Lap 73 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. pits for minor adjustments and four tires. His pit was slightly slow.

Lap 72 -- Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson pit. Gordon gets an air-pressure adjustment, while Johnson gets a large wedge adjustment. Kurt Busch gets an air-pressure adjustment.

Lap 71 -- Tony Stewart is in for tires and fuel as well as changes with wedge. Martin Truex Jr. gets adjustments and tires. Greg Biffle gets a wedge adjustment.

Lap 70 -- Kyle Busch pits to get tires and changes in air pressure and wedge.

Lap 69 -- Kevin Harvick is in for his pit stop and gets tires and fuel; he's too tight and seeks wedge. Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth are in, with Kenseth fighting handling issues.

Lap 67 -- Bobby Labonte pulls in for his pit stop. He has a tight car and makes large adjustments on tire pressure. Elliott Sadler is in for big adjustments, and Dario Franchitti comes in for service.

Lap 65 -- Patrick Carpentier is in for his pit stop for tires and adjustments. A.J. Allmendinger and Juan Montoya join him.

Lap 64 -- Kasey Kahne is on pit road to begin green-flag pit stops. Robby Gordon follows.

Lap 60 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s lead on Kevin Harvick is 0.826 seconds.

Lap 57 -- Martin Truex Jr. slides below Bobby Labonte to take third and now chases Kevin Harvick.

Lap 56 -- Tony Stewart moves beneath Dario Franchitti after a couple of taps to the rear bumper to take 13th.

Lap 48 -- Ganassi drivers Reed Sorenson and Dario Franchitti are holding strong. Sorenson runs in ninth while Franchitti is 12th.

Lap 45 -- Kevin Harvick pulls back ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. for most of the lap, but Earnhardt overtakes him again to hold the lead.

Lap 44 -- LEAD CHANGE: Dale Earnhardt Jr. pushes his nose ahead of Kevin Harvick at the line to lead.

Lap 39 -- Kevin Harvick is battling slow cars Michael McDowell and David Gilliland, enabling Dale Earnhardt Jr. to close to within 0.424 seconds.

Lap 36 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. is one of the fastest cars on the track and is closing the gap between himself and leader Kevin Harvick. It's now 1.177 seconds.

Lap 33 -- Greg Biffle is fighting a loose racecar. He has dropped nine positions to 24th.

Lap 31 -- Kasey Kahne is running eighth. He started 14th.

Lap 26 -- Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart are on the move. Johnson has come from 23rd to 16th, and Stewart has come from 28th to 18th.

Lap 22 -- Matt Kenseth has dropped from his ninth starting position to 13th. Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr. moves around Bobby Labonte to take second place.

Lap 18 -- Jeff Burton has a fast car; he started 31st and is now up to 22nd.

Lap 13 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. passes Patrick Carpentier for third.

Lap 10 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr moves around Scott Riggs to take fourth position.

Lap 5 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kevin Harvick finally works his way below Patrick Carpentier to take the top spot.

Lap 1 -- Patrick Carpentier holds on to the lead on the first lap with Kevin Harvick on his heels.
