Lap 258 -- The top seven are all running single-file with the more exciting racing happening from eighth to 15th.

Lap 254 -- If the race stays green most of the leaders will probably not make it to the finish.

Lap 252 -- Kevin Harvick gets loose allowing Jeff Gordon to pass him for eighth.

Lap 249 -- Tony Stewart passes Bobby Labonte for 12th as Stewart, Labonte, Denny Hamlin and Juan Montoya are all battling for position on the track.

Lap 246 -- After restarting at the end of the pack, Denny Hamlin has worked his way up to 13th and has enough fuel to get to the finish.

Lap 242 -- The top five have opened up a three second lead on sixth-place Kurt Busch.

Lap 240 -- Greg Biffle and Jimmie Johnson are side-by-side at the line for the lead.

Lap 239 -- Tony Stewart is up to 17th after being a lap down.

Lap 237 -- Bob Osborne, crew chief for Carl Edwards, says they are two laps short on fuel.

Lap 236 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Burton get together in the corner but both are able to save it.

Lap 232 -- Pit road is open. Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart the only lead lap cars to make a stop to top off on fuel.

Lap 230 -- RED FLAG: The red flag is out to allow workers to clean the track.

Lap 229 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Chad McCumbee gets loose and spins up the track collecting Matt Kenseth. David Gilliland t-boned Kenseth and Brian Vickers and Casey Mears also involved. Aric Almirola gets the free pass. Pit road is closed as they are using it to get around the track.

Lap 224 -- Denny Hamlin gives up second to top off on fuel. Bobby Labonte and Brian Vickers the only other lead lap cars to pit. Tony Stewart also on pit road as the free pass driver.

Lap 223 -- Pit road is closed and will be open next time by.

Lap 221 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Joe Nemechek slams the wall by the start/finish line and brings out the caution. Tony Stewart was the first car one lap down and gets the free pass.

Lap 29 -- Carl Edwards has caught the rear of the field and should start lapping cars.

Lap 25 -- Carl Edwards leads by 2.5 seconds. Kyle Busch is down to 19th.

Lap 22 -- Tony Stewart passes Clint Bowyer for second.

Lap 20 -- Kyle Busch is going to try and hang on until the competition caution at Lap 35.

Lap 4 -- LEAD CHANGE: Carl Edwards gets around Kyle Busch for the lead.

Lap 3 -- Carl Edwards and Clint Bowyer get inside Kyle Busch but Busch is able to hold and keep his lead.

Lap 2 -- Jimmie Johnson falls all the way to seventh.

Lap 1 -- Kyle Busch has a great start and leads the first lap.

2:29 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Kyle Busch brings the field to speed and the first race of the Chase, the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is under way.

2:27 p.m. -- There are a few wet spots still on the track so the cars remain behind the pace car helping the drying efforts.

2:18 p.m. -- All the drivers are ready and the cars are rolling off pit road.

2:17 p.m. -- There will be a competition caution at Lap 35.

2:12 p.m. -- Sen. John McCain, Cindy McCain and Rick Leaman, CEO of Sylvania Global Automotive Lighting gives the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines."
