TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Talladega Superspeedway announced it is rolling out a monthly payment plan for customers, when tickets to the Amp Energy 500 go on sale to the general public Saturday. The payment plan can be used for race tickets, including those specially priced at $40, hospitality packages and overnight parking spaces. Track officials expect the monthly payment plan to help ease the financial burden on race fans faced with difficult economic times.

"Our monthly payment plan is another way Talladega Superspeedway is helping race fans cope with a tough economic situation," Talladega president Rick Humphrey said. "We believe that this, in addition to lower prices on our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets, reduced prices at the concession stands and ever-improving fan amenities will give our guests numerous ways to enjoy a family vacation at Talladega Superspeedway. We look forward to welcoming fans to both our race weekends in 2009. "

The monthly payment plan allows race fans to make automatic payments for their ticket purchases with a debit or credit card, until Aug. 1, 2009. The earlier race fans make their purchases, the more time they have to spread their payments out at lower monthly installments. After the first initial payment, each monthly installment will be automatically charged to the customer's debit or credit card on the first of the month until Aug. 1. To begin a payment plan, guests should call 1-877-Go2-DEGA.

The payment plan and reduced tickets prices aren't the only new features for the Amp Energy 500. The green flag for the "wild card" in the Chase waves on Nov. 1, three weeks later than previous years. With the new date, the Amp Energy 500 is sure to shake up the championship standings as the seventh race in the Chase.

The Amp Energy 500 weekend features Cup Series practice, followed by qualifying for the Camping World Truck Series on Oct. 30. On Oct. 31, the field for the Amp Energy 500 is set, followed by the Truck Series' Mountain Dew 250.

After the day's racing is done, the night turns to fright when NASCAR's largest speedway hosts the World's Largest Halloween Party. Celebrating with the thousands of fans staying on track property is a ghoulish good way to wind down from the days activities.

Tickets to the Amp Energy 500 and the upcoming Aaron's Dream Weekend, April 24 -26, are available at www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or by calling 1-877-Go2-DEGA.

For our hearing impaired guests, please call TDD 1-866-ISC-TRAK (1-866-472-8725). Tickets also are available in person by visiting the Talladega ticket office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
