Kentucky Speedway tickets for '10 to go on sale Oct. 5

SPARTA, Ky. -- Race fans can lock in their place in Kentucky Speedway's big future with Speedway Motorsports Inc. when four affordable 2010 season ticket plans go on sale Oct. 5.

Plans start at $139 and feature fan-friendly benefits such as the right to renew the most sought after seat locations nearest the flagstand and finish line for future seasons, VIP parking, cold pit access vouchers, a discount on the purchase of additional race tickets and more. The speedway has made it easier than ever to become a season ticket member with the introduction of an optional payment plan which will allow members to extend payments to February 2010.

Kentucky Speedway will bundle competitive Nationwide Series, Camping World Truck Series, IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights action into a two-weekend schedule filled with speedway firsts.

The Nationwide Series will open a Kentucky Speedway season for the first time on June 12 with its 10th visit to the track for a 300-mile battle. The weekend will begin June 11 with series practice sessions.

The 66,089-seat facility will play host to its first Labor Day Weekend celebration when it delivers Truck Series, IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights events Sept. 3-4.

"Change continues to be the name of our game as we move into the 2010 season," said Mark Simendinger, the speedway's general manager. "We're happy we will be showcasing one of the largest sporting events in our region when the NASCAR Nationwide Series visits in June and excited to offer fans a new Labor Day weekend entertainment option with our NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and IndyCar Series races.
