DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- International Speedway Corporation chief executive officer Lesa France Kennedy has been tabbed as the most powerful woman in sports by Forbes.

Forbes says Kennedy, a member of NASCAR's powerful France family, has played a vital role in almost all ISC acquisitions and improvement projects in the last decade.

Kennedy called the honor a "testament to the continued strength of NASCAR."

Other women on the list include Chicago Bears principal owner Virginia McCaskey, World Wrestling Entertainment chief operating officer Donna Goldsmith and Heidi Ueberroth, president of international business operations for the NBA.
