After three weeks off, there's no better place than Kansas to shake up the point standings. Literally.

There'll be a new leader atop the Truck Series points when the checkered flag falls on Saturday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 (5:30 p.m. ET, SPEED). Kyle Busch won't be participating at Kansas Speedway, a good 800 miles north of Talladega where the Cup and Nationwide series will be.

That leaves the door open for seven drivers to walk through. Positions 2-8 can catch and pass Busch for the top spot.

It's open for Todd Bodine, who won at Kansas in 2005 and has a 10.6 average finish.

It's open for Ron Hornaday, who won at Kansas last year by leading 136 of 167 laps.

It's open for Mike Skinner, who ... has never won at Kansas. Yet he's perhaps the most dominating truck to race on the 1.5-mile speedway.

"Kansas is a typical mile-and-a-half track which means you've got to turn in the center of the corner. It's another momentum track. I think we can win any week we go to the race track, but especially the mile-and-a-half race tracks and superspeedways. So yes, I think we can put the No. 30 Ventril Toyota in Victory Lane to be the first repeat winner at Kansas."
-- Mike Hillman Jr., crew chief for Todd Bodine's No. 30 truck

0Repeat winners at Kansas Speedway. Carl Edwards was the closest to having multiple victories there, finishing second in 2003 before winning in 2004.
2Kansas natives on the entry list: Chase Austin (Eudora, Kan.) and Jennifer Jo Cobb (Kansas City, Kan.). Both will be attempting to make their third Truck race.
4Drivers who have started all eight Kansas races: Rick Crawford, Matt Crafton, Terry Cook and Dennis Setzer. Of the four, Crawford has scored more points at the track (1,165), followed by Cook (1,089) and Setzer (1,026). Crafton ranks fifth (916).
4Drivers who have never won at Kansas but are among the seven who can mathematically overtake Kyle Busch for the points lead: Mike Skinner (fourth), Matt Crafton (fifth), Johnny Benson (seventh) and Chad McCumbee (eighth).
6Drivers with an average finish at Kansas of 10th or better: Colin Braun (3.0, one start), Mike Skinner (6.2, five starts), Rick Crawford (8.6, eight starts), Ron Hornaday (9.0, four starts), Terry Cook (10.5, eight starts) and Todd Bodine (10.6, five starts).
7Ron Hornaday's worst finish this season. He has not won a race but is third in points, 71 back of leader Kyle Busch. Hornaday won the Kansas race a year ago.
12Worst finish by Mike Skinner in his five starts at Kansas Speedway, which came in his first start in 2004. Since then, he has finished fourth (2005) or fifth (2006, 2007, 2008) each race. His 174 laps led are the most by a driver without a victory at the track.
18Todd Bodine's finish at Martinsville, the last time the trucks competed. It is his only finish worse than third in the four races this season. He has a 10.6 average finish at Kansas.
26Points separate 10th-place Rick Crawford from 15th-place Tayler Malsam in the standings.
July 7, 2001Date the first NASCAR race was held at Kansas Speedway, two months before a Cup or Nationwide race was run. Ricky Hendrick, a rookie driving his father Rick's No. 17 truck, won the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250, leading 32 laps and beating veteran Ted Musgrave.
