Much of Kenny Wallace's best racing has come on short tracks, and Richmond International Raceway rates right at the top.

Wallace has made 28 starts at RIR in the Nationwide Series, more than any other driver in the 50-race history at the three-quarters of a mile track. And not once has he failed to finish. Furthermore, he's finished on the lead lap 19 times, also tops among all drivers. And those 19 lead-lap finishes have produced some good results.

3Wins, more than any other track at which he has raced. Wallace has nine career wins in the series. He's also won twice at Martinsville, Virginia's other short track. They represent his only multiple wins at one track.
9Top-fives, most of any track at which he has raced.
12.6Average finish, second among current tracks to both Bristol and Martinsville (11.6).
17Top-10s, second-most of any track at which he has raced (Bristol, 18); and second among all drivers (Mark Martin, 19).
262Laps led, second only to Nashville (288).

Coverage of the Aaron's 312 (Entry List | Ticketsexternal link) begins at 7 p.m. ET Friday on ESPN2.

0Wins last year by Chevrolet. The manufacturer had won 13 of the previous 16 races including 10 of 11 before a Toyota (Denny Hamlin) and Ford (Carl Edwards) won in 2008.
2Poles for Kyle Busch, which he turned into his only wins. Busch led 236 of the 250 laps in May 2004, and was out front for 227 of 252 laps in Sept. 2007. In 10 starts overall, Busch has five top-fives and seven top-10s including four in a row.
3Times the average speed reached 100 mph: March 1993 (103.766, won by Mark Martin); Sept. 1995 (104.928, won by Dale Jarrett); Sept. 1996 (100.987, won by Kenny Wallace)
4Wins for Kevin Harvick, including three in a row (2005-06). Only one other driver has ever won three consecutive races at RIR: Harry Gant (1991-92), Like Harvick, Gant also had four wins there, second among all drivers.
11Top-fives for Matt Kenseth, second-most in track history. Kenseth has 14 top-10s in 17 starts, but has never won at RIR. His 6.4 average finish is the best of any active driver. He finished 12th in this race last year, ending a run of five consecutive top-fives.
25Winners to start from a top three starting position. Ten drivers have started third, the most of any position including Denny Hamlin in this race last year. Nine drivers have won from the pole. The last winner from outside the top 10 was Johnny Sauter, who started 30th in 2003.

The Wow Factor

24Career starts for Mark Martin, all in a Ford. Martin is the all-time series leader at RIR in wins (five), top-fives (14) and top-10s (19). He will make his season debut this week and for the first time will not drive a Ford; his first start at RIR since 2005 will be in Hendrick Motorsports' No. 5 Chevrolet.

The Super Looper

1,777Number of Laps in the Top 15 in the past eight races for Carl Edwards, in excess of 100 more than the next driver: Clint Bowyer (1,664). Edwards has an Average Running Position of 7.8 during that span, best of any driver with as many starts.

Blast from the Past

4Career wins for Jeff Purvis, the first coming in March 1996 in the No. 4 Chevrolet of James Finch, also the owner's first. Purvis started on the pole and led 38 laps. Purvis won two races for Finch in '96, then won single races for Richard Childress in 2001 and Clarence Brewer in '02. Purvis suffered severe head trauma in an accident six races after his last win. He made his last series start in 2004, in the No. 1 Dodge of Finch. In Aug. 2006, Purvis suffered a fractured neck and back in a car accident while driving to a race at Talladega.
