Looking to see another side of three-time defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson?

Check out the spoof video he made with buddies Jason Sehorn, the former professional football player, and Nick Lachey, the celebrity. It recently was posted on the funnyordie.com Web site and has Johnson poking fun at himself by hawking a mythical three-disc set of self-help DVDs that show you how to become a winner like him.

Johnson took some time in his No. 48 hauler to talk about making the video and how the general public doesn't really know his humorous side like friends and family do.

Q: What was it like playing comedian?

Want to be a winner just like Jimmie?

Jimmie Johnson gives you his success guide to success by explaining his keys to confidence and ability to "nurture your inner dog ..."

Johnson: It's different for me, you know. It was fun to do it. We had a great time in L.A. shooting it. I had some friends there with me. Really, it was just a cool opportunity that came along. I thought it would be something that was different and fun to do. We've been working on it and editing it and playing with it, trying to make it as good as we could. And we finally sent it out.

Q: Did you and Sehorn enjoy systematically abusing a couple of kids in a pickup football game on the video?

Johnson: We were trying to figure out how to make it seem so easy for me, how to guarantee me victory. So in football it was playing against kids and bringing in Jason Sehorn to be my teammate; in arm wrestling, it was me against an old man and I got to use two hands; the race against Lachey, he's on a bicycle and I'm in a brand-new Corvette.

They had some stuff that was really, really out there. We were like, 'Nah, that's not really going to work.' But we had fun with it. It came together in a short period of time and, heck, we only taped for three or four hours. It was amazing to see how little time they needed to put together that thing and then boom, there it was.

Q: How did Sehorn and Lachey get involved?

Johnson: We were trying to figure out how to make it more fun. Again, they came to us with some really creative ideas, some borderline vulgar, others that just weren't going to work. We were trying to figure out how to make it fun. For the football idea, we thought, how much better would it be to have a pro football player like Jason with me, going against kids?

Nick just wanted to be involved somehow and we were trying to figure out a way to embarrass him. Unfortunately it wasn't the take they ended up using in the video because it was the first take and they said they didn't have it framed up right or something -- but the first time he got on that bike, the chain on it came off and he went flying right over the top of the handlebars, head over heels. I wish we could have gotten that in the video. Damn, it was funny. Over the bars, on his back, onto the ground. (Continued)
