Kentucky Speedway is not known for its repeats. In nine Truck Series races, no driver has won twice at the track. But it is known for producing champions.

Since 2000, four race winners at Kentucky have gone on to win the Truck Series championship, all in even-numbered years: Greg Biffle (2000), Mike Bliss (2002), Bobby Hamilton (2004) and Johnny Benson (2008). With this being an odd year, the numerical history may not point to a title, although a former Kentucky winner is trying to stop that trend and the repeat winner streak.

Mike Skinner won at Kentucky in 2007. He went on to finish second in the points that year. It happened in a span in which Skinner has recorded three top-10s (and one DNF) in the last four Kentucky races, all while being the fastest truck in a series-high 114 of 601 total laps.

Add to that the one-year anniversary of Randy Moss jumping onboard with David Dollar and transforming the team into Randy Moss Motorsports, and it all adds up to an odd-numbered season for Driver No. 5 -- something in which he may celebrate as he's trying to jump from third to first in the standings.

"As much as it's nice to look back and see the accomplishments that we have achieved so far, we are looking forward to the future. There are great opportunities for us and we are setting our goals high. Mike is in position for the championship and Tayler [Malsam] is in position to win the rookie of the year award. To be in a position to win two trophies at the end of the season is something to be proud of."
-- Randy Moss, co-owner of Randy Moss Motorsports

1Finish outside the top 10 for Ron Hornaday in his four Kentucky starts (14th in 2005). In his other three starts, he won (2006) and finished 10th twice (2007, 2008).
2Drivers who have started all nine Kentucky races: Dennis Setzer (8.4 average finish) and Terry Cook (18.8 average finish). Setzer's average finish is the best among drivers on the entry list with more than one start at the track.
2Consecutive victories for Ron Hornaday this season, as he will be shooting for three in a row. The last time a driver won three in a row was this time last year when Johnny Benson won at Kentucky, ORP and Nashville. Benson went on to win the championship.
3Tracks on the Truck Series schedule that have never had a repeat winner: Dover, Kansas and Kentucky. Three previous Kentucky winners are on the entry list: Dennis Setzer (2005), Ron Hornaday (2006) and Mike Skinner (2007).
3Victories by Ford or Dodge in the Truck Series the since the beginning of the 2008 season. The last Ford victory was June 13 at Michigan (Colin Braun). The last Dodge victory was March 29, 2008, at Martinsville (Dennis Setzer).
6.86Average running position for Ryan Mathews in his one start at Kentucky (2007) when he finished fourth. Mathews is entered in his third race this season.
7Winners in the nine Kentucky races that have started fifth or better. The other two winners started 18th or worse: Dennis Setzer 18th (2005) and Ron Hornaday 22nd (2006).
22Points that Stacy Compton trails 10th-place Colin Braun in the standings. Compton's Wyler Racing team is owned by nearby Ohio natives David and Jeff Wyler, who consider this race a home event.
80Laps led by Terry Cook at Kentucky, more than any other driver who has not won at the track and is on the entry list.
101Points that separate fifth-place David Star and 10th-place Colin Braun in the standings. Two drivers of the six have won races this year: Brian Scott and Braun.
