The Truck Series has spoiled fans the past two years as the title wasn't decided until the final lap at Homestead-Miami Speedway. With Ron Hornaday's domination this season including his current streak of five consecutive wins, it looks like the championship could be clinched a little earlier.

Hornaday's 216-point lead after 14 races is the largest at this point of the season in Truck Series history. While no one has had an advantage the size of Hornaday's, big point leads have evaporated in the past. Four other times in series history has a driver held a 100-plus point lead after 14 events but only twice has gone on to win the championship.

Jack Sprague in 1999 and Todd Bodine in 2006 went on to hoist championship trophies. But in 1997, Sprague was down 102 points to Rich Bickle after 14 races and rallied to win the championship. And in 2005, Ted Musgrave was down 158 points to Dennis Setzer after 14 events and Musgrave went on to win the title.

So while the Truck Series hasn't seen a lead like this in its 15-year history, with 11 races remaining, anything can happen.

2Number of wins Ron Hornaday has at Bristol, tops among all drivers. He is the only driver to win more than one race at the 0.533-mile track. Coincidentally, both of his wins came from the pole. Only one other driver has won a Truck race at Bristol from the pole -- Mark Martin in 2006.
3Only three times in NASCAR history has a driver won five consecutive races on the national level. Richard Petty and Bobby Allison won five in a row in 1971 in the Cup Series and Ron Hornaday joined them this season. Petty holds the record for consecutive wins with 10, in 1967.
3With three Truck championships, Ron Hornaday is tied with Jack Sprague for most titles in series history.
6Of the remaining 11 tracks on the schedule, Ron Hornaday has been victorious at six of them.
7Ron Hornaday's career high in wins for a season is seven, set in 1997. Ironically, he did not win the championship that season, Jack Sprague did. The record for most Truck wins in a season belongs to Greg Biffle, with nine in 1999, who also did not win the championship that season.
10Wednesday will mark Ron Hornaday's 10th Truck start at Bristol. Jack Sprague currently is the only other driver to have made 10 starts at BMS, with Hornaday, Rick Crawford and Terry Cook tied for second with nine.
12.0Average finish for Ron Hornaday in nine races at Bristol. He has two wins and five top-10 finishes. Recently though, he has struggled at the bullring. In the past five races at Bristol, Hornaday has an average finish of 17.8 with just one top-10 and he has led only one lap in those five races.
45Ron Hornaday has 45 wins in his Truck career, the most in series history. The next closest in wins is Jack Sprague with 28. Hornaday's win percentage is 18.8 percent, also No. 1 in Truck Series history.
200In 1997, Ron Hornaday led all 200 laps of the Loadhandler 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. It's the only time a driver has led every lap in a Truck Series race at Bristol. It's only been done five times in Truck Series history -- Hornaday (1995, Sonoma; 1997, Bristol) and Mike Skinner (1995, Portland; 1995, ORP; 1996, ORP).
