Heading into Miami, Kyle Busch and the Billy Ballew No. 51 are only 60 points behind Ron Hornaday and the No. 33 owned by DeLana Harvick in owners' point standings.

With title already won, still plenty to race for at Miami

No matter who wins the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET, SPEED), Ron Hornaday already has solidified his place in NASCAR history. His fourth title -- clinched with a fourth-place finish at Phoenix -- breaks his tie with Jack Sprague and adds his name to a distinguished list of drivers who have won four national series championships, including Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon.

With the Truck Series title awarded, the only thing left on the table for the season finale at Homestead will be the owners' title. For the first time in the series' 15-year history, the owners' championship remains undecided -- and that gives Hornaday all the incentive not to rest on his laurels come Friday.

"It's not over by far," Hornaday said. "We're racing Kyle [Busch] for the owners' points, that's the true goal. That shows how great our team is. We're doing everything we can to hold him off down at Miami."

Busch and the Billy Ballew Motorsports' No. 51 are only 60 points behind the No. 33 owned by DeLana Harvick and are riding a wave of success into Miami. Busch has earned seven wins, with five of them coming in his past six starts.

"I can't close the gap, I've got to take that gap," Busch said. "Hornaday is going to try to win the race. They've got the driver's championship locked up, so if they go out there and try to win the race and are successful at that, then we can't catch them. But if they go out there and have problems, whether it's a wreck or engine or a tire -- it could be anything.

"It's going to be hard to do, but hopefully we can battle it out and have a good, strong run and see if we can't beat them."

Homestead has never played host to back-to-back victories in the 13 years it has played host to the Truck Series. Todd Bodine remains the only driver to have more than one win at Homestead. That may change on Friday when he defends his victory and drives toward a third victory at the 1.5 mile track.
