MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Braun Racing has announced that Brian Scott will drive the No. 10 Toyota for four upcoming Nationwide Series races including this Saturday's Pepsi 300 atNashville Superspeedway, which will mark his series debut.
Plans also call for Scott to drive at Phoenix while the remaining two races will be announced at a later date. Stewart Cooper, who oversees shop operations at Braun Racing, will serve as crew chief on the No. 10 car for those races.

"I am so grateful to have the opportunity to join forces with Braun Racing for these upcoming races," Scott said. "Braun Racing is a top-notch organization in the Nationwide Series with first-rate equipment. All three of their cars consistently run up front and have the ability to contend for the win week in and week out. As a driver making his debut in the Nationwide Series, you can't ask to be in a better situation."
Braun cut his teeth racing mini-sprints on dirt tracks throughout his native Idaho and Washington. After realizing both his talent and passion for racing, Scott moved up to 360 sprints where he produced a late-season win and a second-place finish at the 360 Nationals at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash.
In 2006, Scott moved to North Carolina to further pursue his career in racing and made the switch from dirt to asphalt to race Super Late Models. The following year he progressed to the USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series, running a limited number of races. In 11 starts, Scott earned four top-five finishes and one pole. In September 2007, Scott began competing in the Truck Series.
Scott currently is in his second year of full-time competition in the series, driving the No. 16 Toyota for Xpress Motorsports. In 36 starts in the series, he has accumulated two top-five and nine top-10 finishes. He currently sits 12th in the point standings after four races this season.
