Bayne to drive for MWR in eight Nationwide races

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Trevor Bayne will drive Michael Waltrip Racing's No. 99 Toyota in eight Nationwide Series races this season.

Bayne, 18, finished 23rd in his series debut at Bristol driving Jimmy Mean's No. 52 entry. Bayne will make his first appearance behind the wheel of the No. 99 this weekend at Nashville. The other seven races include: June 13 at Kentucky, June 20 at the Milwaukee Mile, July 18 at Gateway, July 25 at O'Reilly Raceway Park, Aug. 1 at Iowa, Aug. 21 at Bristol and Nov. 14 at Phoenix.

Bayne has been racing since he was 5 and has won more than 20 championships. Last season, he raced in the Camping World East Series where he finished fourth in the point standings and had one win at Thompson (Conn.) Speedway.
