As volunteers across the country participated in the National Day of Volunteer and Service to honor and remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Jamie McMurray, driver of the No. 26 Ford, took advantage of his time off the track to commemorate the holiday.

Shortly after arriving in the Washington, D.C., area, McMurray along with Washington Redskins Director of Responsibility and former Pro Bowl player Ken Harvey, showed their support by visiting soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
"This is a very historic and exciting time for our country, with millions of people inspired to find ways to give back," McMurray said.
"I can think of no better way to do my part than to pay my respects to those who devote their lives to our freedom through their national service."
McMurray will remain in the nation's capitol through Inauguration Day, watching the parade at the Embassy of Canada on Pennsylvania Avenue where a tailgate party will be hosted by the Canadian Tourism Commission.
