Furniture Row Racing and crew chief Jay Guy have mutually agreed to part ways. "We wish Jay all the best," general manager Joe Garone said in a team release. "He is a good friend who worked hard to help bring us to where we are at. Jay was a true asset to our organization the past three years and we support him with his new opportunity."

Garone went on to say that the atmosphere at the Denver-based shop is upbeat as the team prepares to compete in all of the 36 Cup races in 2010.

"We are continuing to expand our resources to run a full schedule next year and are on the right track toward giving our driver Regan Smith the best tools possible to race competitively on a weekly basis," he said.

Guy's prior stint was with the No. 47 Nationwide team in 2006 after leaving driver Jon Wood.

Guy spent the '04 season with Fitz-Bradshaw Racing as the crew chief for drivers Casey Atwood, Dave Blaney and David Stremme. He also had a short stint with Xpress Motorsports and No. 19 team with driver Regan Smith. Guy joined ST Motorsports in January '05.

Late in the '03 season, Guy stepped up with his No. 10 Cup team to serve as crew chief for driver Johnny Benson. Guy also has worked with Jamie McMurray, David Green, Hermie Sadler and Ted Musgrave in the Nationwide and Truck series.
