Most popular driver voting ends this month for some

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Time is running out for fans to vote for the 2009 most popular driver in the Nationwide Series, Camping World Truck Series and in two of NASCAR's regional touring series.

Cast your vote!

Voting has already been completed in four of the touring series. Voting for three more series ends by Oct. 31, so fans should vote for their favorite driver once per day until the voting ends. Thus far, more than 122,000 total votes have been cast among all eight series.

Fans have until Oct. 18 to vote for drivers in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and through Oct. 31 for drivers in the Nationwide Camping World Truck series.

Voting remains open until Nov. 22 for drivers in the NASCAR Mexico Series.

Fans can visit www.nascar.com and vote for their favorite driver in the Nationwide and Truck series. Additionally, www.nascarhometracks.com is the site to cast votes for NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Mexico Series drivers.

This year, fans also may "write in" their favorite driver if he/she is not among the nominees for a specific series. Fans should go to fanfeedback@nascar.com and submit their write-in vote.

Results of the balloting will be announced at each of the respective series banquets at the end of the season.
