Skinner, Malsam to drive for Moss in Truck Series

STATESVILLE, N.C. -- Former Truck Series champion Mike Skinner will drive for Randy Moss Motorsports in 2009, the team announced Thursday. Skinner, who won the 1995 series championship, will be paired with rookie Tayler Malsam.

Skinner has 25 wins, 80 top-five finishes and 114 top-10s in 179 series starts. In 2008, he finished sixth in the point standings.

Malsam drove in the ARCA series last year; he finished ninth in points. He made two Truck Series starts in 2008.

"Tayler has shown a lot of promise in his performance on the track in 2008 and we look forward to helping him to continue to grow as a driver in 2009," Moss said in a team release. "Mike will be able to help mentor Tayler while going for his second championship all at the same time. It's the perfect combination."
