12:21 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Gordon brings the field to the green and the Pennsylvania 500 is under way.

12:12 p.m. -- The cars are rolling off pit road and will make three warm-up laps.

12:09 p.m. -- There will be a competition caution at Lap 20. Tony Stewart will start the race from the rear after crashing in practice on Saturday and switching to his backup car.

12:08 p.m. -- Grand marshal Tom Foley gives the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

12:02 p.m. -- Clarke Lewis performs the national anthem.

12:01 p.m. -- Philip DeRae, Pocono Raceway chaplain, gives the Invocation.

Noon -- ESPN's coverage of the race is under way.

11:30 a.m. ET -- Take two of the Pennsylvania 500 and the Monday weather looks much better. It's currently 69 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The clouds are supposed to burn off this afternoon as the temperatures reach the mid-70s. Green is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. ET.

4:17 p.m. -- The Pennsylvania 500 has been postponed until Monday. The green will drop at 12:15 p.m. ET with ESPN's coverage beginning at noon ET.

4:06 p.m. -- NASCAR president Mike Helton is on ESPN saying that time is the big issue now. They need four hours to get the race in and it gets dark around 8:30 p.m. ET so they will have to make a decision in the next 10-15 minutes.

3:23 p.m. -- Rain is now falling all around the 2.5-mile speedway.

3:03 p.m. -- Weepers are becoming a concern as there are many on the track. It has also started sprinkling again and teams are putting the covers back on the cars.

2:02 p.m. -- Clarke Lewis performs the national anthem.

2:01 p.m. -- Philip DeRae, Pocono Raceway chaplain, gives the Invocation.

1:56 p.m. -- Barring a change in weather, NASCAR anticipates the green dropping shortly after 3 p.m. ET.

1:38 p.m. -- A good sign as driver introductions are under way.

1:27 p.m. -- The fog is starting to burn off and track drying continues.

1:04 p.m. -- NASCAR will throw a competition caution at Lap 20 to allow teams to make adjustments.

1 p.m. -- The rain has all but stopped but now there is a fog over the track. Track drying is under way and NASCAR has all intentions of getting the race in today. NASCAR Countdown is under way on ESPN.

12:30 p.m. ET -- Rain forced NASCAR to set the lineup for the Pennsylvania 500 by owner points and as race time approaches, rain is once again a factor. It's raining in Pocono but the good news is it's supposed to taper off this afternoon and NASCAR hopes to get the track dried for 200 laps of Cup Series action.
