Lap 396 -- Brian Vickers passes Sam Hornish Jr. for seventh giving him an eight-point advantage.

Lap 394 -- No changes for Kyle Busch and Brian Vickers as they run fifth and eighth.

Lap 390 -- Brian Vickers has a four-point lead as Kyle Busch runs fifth and Vickers runs eighth.

Lap 387 -- Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon side-by-side for fourth. Kurt Busch challenging Denny Hamlin for the lead.

Lap 300 -- With 100 to go, Kyle Busch runs sixth and Brian Vickers runs eighth. Vickers has a nine-point lead on Busch for 12th in the points.

Lap 292 -- Brian Vickers up to ninth as he passes Sam Hornish Jr.

Lap 288 -- Clint Bowyer passes Mark Martin for fourth. Brian Vickers passes Kevin Harvick for 10th.

Lap 265 -- Kyle Busch passes Jimmie Johnson for seventh. Brian Vickers currently runs 12th.

Lap 263 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. goes a lap down. Matt Kenseth is next.

Lap 262 -- Jimmie Johnson falls to seventh as Clint Bowyer gets around the No. 48.

Lap 259 -- Sam Hornish Jr. on the move as he passes Jimmie Johnson for fifth.

Lap 255 -- Again Matt Kenseth is in trouble as he is second in line to go a lap down. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the last car on the lead lap with Denny Hamlin closing fast.

Lap 251 -- Sam Hornish Jr. up to sixth as he passes Kevin Harvick. Tony Stewart passes Reed Sorenson for 14th.

Lap 248 -- Denny Hamlin leads by a second as he closes in on lap traffic.

Lap 239 -- Matt Kenseth has fallen to 27th.

Lap 232 -- Kyle Busch now down to ninth and out of the Chase. Brian Vickers is now in the 12th position by six points.

Lap 228 -- Kyle Busch could lose valuable position as Sam Hornish Jr. and Clint Bowyer are closing in and looking to take seventh.

Lap 225 -- Denny Hamlin out front by 0.6 seconds.

Lap 217 -- Kurt Busch passes Jimmie Johnson for fourth. Matt Kenseth in a three-wide battle for 21st with Tony Stewart and Joey Logano.

Lap 214 -- Kevin Harvick challenging Kyle Busch for sixth. Matt Kenseth is on the move up to 23rd, now 15 points out of the 12th position.

Lap 203 -- Kyle Busch falls to eighth as Sam Hornish Jr. passes him. Brian Vickers runs 11th.

Lap 199 -- Kevin Harvick passes Kyle Busch for sixth. That move puts Brian Vickers back in 12th in points and drops Busch to 13th.

Lap 194 -- LEAD CHANGE: Denny Hamlin gets back around Jeff Gordon.

Lap 192 -- Matt Kenseth runs 23rd.

Lap 190 -- After almost going a lap down, Clint Bowyer now runs 15th.

Lap 189 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jeff Gordon drives around Denny Hamlin in Turn 1 to take the lead back.

Lap 187 -- Carl Edwards has worked his way up to 13th. Juan Montoya has climbed to 15th.

Lap 183 -- LEAD CHANGE: Denny Hamlin goes low in Turn 4 and passes Jeff Gordon for the lead.

Lap 181 -- Jimmie Johnson has a slow restart and Kurt Busch passes him for fourth.

Lap 159 -- Kasey Kahne passes Brian Vickers for 13th. Michael McDowell out of the race with engine problems.

Lap 155 -- Elliott Sadler on pit road scored two laps down.

Lap 151 -- LEAD CHANGE: Denny Hamlin passes Jeff Gordon and retakes the lead. Brian Vickers passes Martin Truex Jr. for 12th.

Lap 148 -- Ryan Newman up to 18th. Greg Biffle up to 19th. Carl Edwards runs 21st and Matt Kenseth runs 26th.

Lap 143 -- Mark Martin completes the pass of Jimmie Johnson for third.

Lap 141 -- Jeff Gordon has again caught the tail end of the field allowing Denny Hamlin to catch his bumper.

Lap 140 -- Mark Martin has found some speed and is closing on Jimmie Johnson for third.

Lap 136 -- Sam Hornish Jr. and Kasey Kahne are side-by-side for 13th.

Lap 130 -- Kyle Busch passes A.J. Allmendinger for seventh.

8:06 p.m. -- The cars are rolling onto the track and will make their warm-up laps.

8:00 p.m. -- The command is given: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

7:54 p.m. -- The 29th Army Band performs the national anthem.

7:53 p.m. -- Joe Ellison delivers the Invocation.

7:24 p.m. -- NASCAR Countdown is under way on ABC.

7:13 p.m. -- NASCAR has moved the command to start engines back to 8 p.m. ET due to the rain.

6:40 p.m. -- The rain has stopped and the jet dryers are on the track.

6:15 p.m. -- No one said Lap-by-Lap could predict the weather! Rain has started to fall at the track and the cars are covered on pit road.

5:07 p.m. ET -- It's a beautiful day for racing at Richmond International Raceway. Currently its 76 degrees under partly cloudy skies and temperatures will only drop into the mid-60s when the sun sets. The Chase field will be set tonight, who will be in and who will be out? Find out when the green falls at 7:43 p.m. ET.
