2 -- Drivers to score their first Cup Series victory at Texas: Jeff Burton (1997) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (2000). It would be another 10 years and 12 races before Burton became the track's first repeat winner in April '07.
3 -- Victories for Carl Edwards at Texas, the most of any driver. He's the only driver to win back-to-back races there when he swept the season in 2008. The three victories represent three of his four top-10s in 10 races at TMS.
3 -- Runner-up finishes for Jimmie Johnson at Texas, including the past two spring races. All three have come in the past eight races as did his victory in November 2007, his only top-10s there during that stretch. Prior to that Johnson began his TMS career with five consecutive top-10s.
4 -- Drivers currently in the top 12 in points who have not won at Texas: No. 4 Kevin Harvick (14 starts); No. 6. Clint Bowyer (eight starts); No. 11 Joey Logano (three starts); No. 12 Kyle Busch (10 starts).
4 -- Times Jeff Gordon has qualified on the front row (two poles) in the past five races at Texas. He started second in winning this race a year ago, his first at the track.
6 -- Active drivers who have led 400 or more laps at Texas: Matt Kenseth (498); Carl Edwards (476); Tony Stewart (468); Jeff Gordon (457); Kyle Busch (441); Dale Earnhardt Jr. (400). Busch is the only one who hasn't won there.
8 -- Top-10 finishes for Matt Kenseth in the past nine races at Texas, including the past six in a row, the longest current streak. The 2002 winner at TMS, Kenseth also is a three-time runner-up and was the only driver to post top-five finishes (fifth and third) in both races there last year.
9 -- Victories at Texas by Ford, most of any manufacturer. Roush Fenway Racing accounts for seven of those. Ford is the only make without a victory this season.
13 -- Races at Texas in which there has been a caution in the final 40 laps (72 percent). There has been just three final green-flag stretches longer than 50 laps, with an average of 31. Two races at TMS have ended in a green-white-checkered finish.
18 -- Best finish for Kasey Kahne in the past seven races at Texas, since his victory in April 2006.
25.686 -- Margin of victory, in seconds, for Kurt Busch in this past November's race at Texas, the largest margin of victory in the Cup Series since the advent of electronic scoring in 1993. Otherwise, 10 races at Texas have had a margin of victory of less than 1 second and another, in 1999, ended under caution.
27.1 -- Average starting position for Jeff Burton in 18 starts at Texas. In the 16 races with time trials, only once has he started better than 20th -- 15th last April. The two times there hasn't been qualifying at Texas he started in the top five -- and won.
