Kyle Busch has the best average finish among active drivers at Richmond, but it could've been even better; as for Jimmie Johnson, he's been hit or miss.

Several have good marks at RIR but heartache, too

Race No. 10: Crown Royal 400 from Richmond International Raceway (7:30 p.m. ET Saturday on FOX). Green at 7:44 p.m. ET.

3 -- Times Kyle Busch has been passed for the final lead change in the past six races at Richmond: May 2006 (with 45 laps to go); Sept. '06 (two laps to go); and May '07 (20 to go).

3 -- Victories for Jimmie Johnson in the past six races Richmond. He also has two finishes in the 30s during that span and has finished 30th or worse five times there. He has just four top-10s in his 16 races at RIR (all top-fives).

3 -- Runner-up finishes for Tony Stewart in the past five races at Richmond. Stewart is one of three drivers, along with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, with three victories each at RIR, the most among active drivers. Stewart, who posted his first career victory in Sept. 1999, hasn't won there since 2002.

4 -- Consecutive top-five finishes for Mark Martin at Richmond, the longest current streak. Martin is the active leader with 17 top-fives there. He has a 16-race streak of lead-lap finishes at RIR, also the longest current streak.

5 -- Top-10s for Kasey Kahne in 12 starts at Richmond, including his first career victory in May 2005. He also has five finishes of 24th or worse, four in the spring race.

5 -- Drivers who posted top-10 finishes in both Richmond races in 2009: Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Sam Hornish Jr., Mark Martin and Ryan Newman. Hornish hasn't had a top since the second race at Richmond last year.

6 -- Times in the past seven races at Richmond the leader of the most laps did not win. That streak ended in September 2009 when winner Denny Hamlin led 299 laps. Hamlin holds the record for most laps led (381) by a non-winner (May '08).

9 -- Top-10s for Kevin Harvick in his past 10 races at Richmond. He had only two top-10s in his first eight starts there. He has no DNFs in his 18 races there, the longest current streak.

11 -- Front-row starting positions for Jeff Gordon in 34 races at Richmond. He has five poles. He has finished first or second six times (two victories). Gordon has posted six consecutive top-10s there, the longest current streak.

14 -- Races in the past 17 at Richmond that have had double-digit cautions. The 15 cautions in last May's race tied the record for the most since the track was reconfigured to a three-quarters-mile (May 2003). However, only one race (May 2008) has been extended past the scheduled distance for a green-white-checkered finish. It was won by Clint Bowyer, who holds the mark for the worst starting position (31st) of any winner there.

31 -- Races at Richmond won from a top-10 starting position in the 43 held on the three-quarters-mile layout. Three have been won from the pole during that time, two in the past 10 races: Kasey Kahne (May 2005) and Jimmie Johnson (Sept. '07).

43 -- Cars running at the finish at Richmond in September 2008, only the second time since 43 cars became the standard field in 1998. It was only the fifth race in more than 2,200 Cup events with no DNFs.

90.627 -- Average speed, in mph, in last year's spring race at Richmond, the lowest since Sept. 1989 (88.380 mph).

899 -- Laps led by Denny Hamlin in just eight starts at Richmond. Jeff Burton also has led 899 laps, in 31 starts. Hamlin led 447 of the 800 laps in last year's two races.

1,581 -- Points accrued by Kyle Busch in the past 10 races at Richmond, 62 more than the next-closest driver (Tony Stewart). Busch has the most top-fives (eight) and the best average finish (6.0).
