Jason Leffler has an idea for what to do with all the thrown-away hair at stylists' shops across the country.

Jason Leffler, driver of the No. 38 Braun Racing Toyota, answers this week's pop culture questions.

1. Tires, old golf balls and even bags of old hair have been suggested to plug the oil leak ... Your thoughts on plugging the leak or even containing the spill?

Leffler: This is actually a really great question. This oil spill is an extremely serious problem that is turning into one of the worst environmental disasters that we have ever faced. I was just last week talking with someone at Great Clips corporate about this very thing, after hearing that hair could be one of the solutions. Great Clips became involved pretty quickly in doing what they could to help. They have associated themselves with Matter of Trust, a nonprofit organization that is coordinating hair donations for the spill. While they have left the decision of whether or not to participate to the individual salon owners, they have given each location the information on how to donate if they desire to do so. I think that is pretty cool. If hair is the answer to stop any further damage to the environment, then Great Clips could be a big part of that.

2. Beauty pageants ... Archaic, or role model material?

Leffler: I was tempted to say archaic when it comes to beauty pageants, because I think a lot of what they stand for is archaic. On the other hand, I think there is a positive side in the form of community service and charity work that goes along with the beauty pageants that people tend to forget about.

3. Who would you like to see host the Cup banquet this year?

Leffler: I think Chris Rock would be hilarious, though probably not appropriate for TV. He would definitely spice things up and I can only imagine some of the things he could come up with for this whole group!

4. Twilight Eclipse premieres next month. Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Leffler: Forget Edward and Jacob, I'm on Team Bella!

5. Season finales are airing right now ... what show are you sad to see go for the summer?

Leffler: I would have to say The Office. I never have time to sit and watch a whole lot of TV, but The Office is one show I do try to watch on a regular basis. It's got that dry sense of humor to it and reminds me how lucky I am that I can do what I love for a living and not be confined to an office 40 hours a week. On the other hand, if I was stuck in an office, that particular one would be pretty entertaining.

6. Explain one of your most embarrassing moments at, on, or near a race track.

Leffler: My most embarrassing at-track incident would have to be at Terre Haute, [Ind.] in 1997. I was leading the heat race and took the white flag. Unfortunately, I thought it was the checkered flag and pulled into the pits that lap ready to celebrate. It was then that I realized what I had done. Not only did I give up the win, but I lost the right to transfer into the A-Main feature that night. Thirteen years later and I still haven't lived that one down.
