Martin Truex Jr., driver of the No. 56 Toyota, answers this week's pop culture questions.

1. If you were a tool -- literally not figuratively -- what would you be and why?

Truex: I would be a ratchet rather than a wrench because it is more user friendly.

2. When was the last time you had a good cry?

Oh, quiz hot shot. There's a bomb on a bus, once the bus goes 50 mph, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?

-- Dennis Hopper, as Howard Payne in 'Speed'

Truex: I can't remember, but I really didn't think there was such a thing as a good cry.

3. We've all had them, bad pet names. Tell us one of yours and why you hate it.

Truex: None, nothing that really stuck ...

4. Between Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, who gets voted off the island?

Truex: I don't really listen to any of them. I know that one song, Poker Face, but I don't really listen to them so it doesn't matter who gets voted off.

5. What was your favorite Dennis Hopper movie? Rebel Without a Cause, Hoosiers, Easy Rider, Colors etc.?

Truex: I haven't seen any of them. Sherry [Truex's girlfriend] liked Speed and says he was in it so I'll go with Speed.

6. If you were Mike Helton for a day, what are some things on your to-do list while president of NASCAR?

Truex: I would shorten the schedule to about 25 races. That's about it.
