Cassill is a Nineties' kind of guy

Maybe that's why the recently turned 21-year-old favors Gordon for Hall of Fame

Landon Cassill, who has made 18 starts across NASCAR's top three series this season, answers this week's pop culture questions.

1. If you could go back in time and race in any season, what would it be?

Cassill: I think I would race some time in the 1990s. That is when I fell in love with NASCAR. For me right now it is a struggle, but when I was a child and imagined being a NASCAR driver that was the time.

2. NASCAR Hall of Fame ... who is your pick?

Cassill: You can't help but want to put someone like Jeff Gordon in the Hall of Fame. He changed the face of NASCAR, for someone to do that the way he did that, Jeff Gordon needs to be put in the Hall of Fame.

3. One guilty pleasure you can't live without.

Cassill: Chocolate shakes. Everywhere I go after a race with my dad, celebrating a good or sulking over a bad one, we always have chocolate shakes.

4. Most embarrassing moment on or nearby a race track?

Cassill: My very first NASCAR race in 2007. I was always used to late-model racing where you climb in the car and then they do the national anthem. NASCAR is the opposite. My first race I qualified sixth so I walked to the car and started buckling in for the national anthem and all my crew guys are standing outside the car laughing at me.

5. Name your dream sponsor.

Cassill: Those Red Bull guys have a lot of fun. I would love to work with them, anything where you get free stuff and do whatever you want. Those guys do whatever they want.

6. Reaction to the South Park episode portraying NASCAR drivers as poor and stupid.

Cassill: I think South Park is brilliant and I laughed at the way they make fun at everyone else so there is nothing wrong with them making fun of us. I think it's great. I love the attention. Them telling us we are poor and stupid is the least of our worries.
