Johnson, wife expecting first child, due date in July

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Four-time defending Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and his wife are expecting their first child.

A spokesperson for the driver says Chandra Johnson is due in July. No other details have been announced.

Johnson won his fourth consecutive Cup title in November. He was The Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year last month, becoming the first race car driver to win it in its 78-year history.
