Sadler, wife announce birth of their son on Monday

Elliott Sadler won the race with Carl Edwards to the birthing suite ... with Sadler announcing the birth of his son on Twitter.

"I want to announce the birth of our son Wyatt into the world this morning!! Amanda and baby are doing great!" Sadler posted on his Twitter account Monday morning.

Edwards' wife was due to give birth at any time, and he had backup driver Mike Wallace ready to jump in the No. 99 at Sunday's Daytona 500 should he be needed at home.

The Sadlers' due date was not until early March.
