Short Track Showdown scheduled for April 29

The Denny Hamlin Foundation will play host to the annual Short Track Showdown on April 29 at Southside Speedway in Midlothian, Va.

Bobby Labonte, Kevin Harvick, Elliott Sadler, Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose will join a star-studded field that includes Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano and Hamlin -- and also will compete against some of the region's best Late Model Stock Car drivers in the 250-lap showdown.

Gates open at 4 p.m. ET and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Short Track Showdown are available at www.dennyhamlinfoundation.org. All proceeds from ticket sales, an online auction and raffles will benefit the Foundation.

The Denny Hamlin Foundation was created in 2008 to aid in raising awareness and funding for Cystic Fibrosis research and treatment, as well as to support other not-for-profit corporations that focus on aiding children with debilitating illnesses.
