Jack Roush was transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., Wednesday evening according to a statement released Thursday by Roush Fenway Racing.
"Following surgery Tuesday night related to the facial damage sustained in the accident, he remains in serious, but stable condition," the statement said.

Roush was injured when his plane crashed during landing at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wis., on Tuesday.

"He will continue to be treated at Mayo Clinic for his facial injuries," the statement said. "The Roush organization would like to thank the physicians and staff at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, Wis., for the care and treatment provided during his stay."
Roush, an aviation buff, was attending the Experimental Aircraft Association's annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis., this week.
Ford Racing released a statement Wednesday from Jamie Allison, director of Ford North America Motorsports.
"All of us at Ford Motor Co. are relieved to know that Jack Roush will make a full recovery from the crash [Tuesday]," the statement said. "He and his family are in our thoughts and have our best wishes.
"Jack is an icon in the sport of auto racing, but more importantly, he's family to all of us. We will continue to work very closely with the entire leadership team at RFR and will do everything we can to help support Roush Fenway Racing during this time, as Jack concentrates on his recovery. I know I speak for every employee at Ford when I say that we wish Jack well, and look forward to seeing him back at the track very soon."
