NASCAR fans can attend four days of racing activities at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sept. 3-6 for $69, arguably making this the most-affordable race weekend on the NASCAR circuit.
By purchasing a $39 Turn 3 Elliott Grandstand ticket to the Cup Series night race and a $30 general admission ticket to the Nationwide Series night race, fans also will receive free admission to the Friday Fan Fest and to Monday's Breakfast on Bruton, a free infield fan breakfast.
Friday night's activities begin at 6 p.m. with a question-and-answer session hosted by SPEED's Rutledge Wood featuring Cup Series drivers Jeff Burton, Clint Bowyer and David Ragan.
"After a great inaugural Labor Day weekend night race, we were asked by fans to expand the show and we've responded by adding two free events on Friday and Monday of the Emory Healthcare 500 race weekend," track president Ed Clark said. "We're committed to giving our fans the biggest and best Labor Day celebration in the country and $69 for entry into four days of events at Atlanta Motor Speedway is a great value."
AMS also has increased its list of fan-friendly hotels to 35. Each partner facility guarantees a room rate of $120 or less without requiring a mutli-night stay during the Sept. 3-5 weekend. Fans can access the list of partner hotel properties by visiting www.atlantamotorspeedway.com/fans/hotels/.
Unreserved campgrounds at AMS open at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28. In addition, the track has a limited number of infield tent campsites and trackside terrace RV sites with full hook-ups remaining, plus exterior tent campsite availability.
For more information or to purchase tickets and camping, contact the AMS ticket office at (770) 946-4211, (877) 9-AMS-TIX, or visit www.atlantamotorspeedway.com.
In addition to Cup and Nationwide series night races and a super late model race -- David Ragan will be in the field -- additional fan activities include concerts by Foreigner, Colt Ford and Drivin' N Cryin', the 2010 FreestyleMX.com Tour and Big Green Egg cooking demonstrations, among others.
The Labor Day weekend concludes on Monday with "Breakfast on Bruton," a free breakfast for fans attending the prior night's Cup race. "Breakfast on Bruton" was created by AMS chairman Bruton Smith as a way to thank fans for attending the racing events and supporting the speedway through its first 50 years of operation. The breakfast will be served in the Nationwide Series garage area from 7-9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6.
"We're thrilled to take last year's two-day schedule and expand it to four days of exciting activity for fans attending the greatest Labor Day celebration in the USA," Clark said. "Obviously, the weekend won't end with Sunday night's fireworks. We look forward to serving breakfast and meeting the loyal fans who have made Atlanta Motor Speedway's first 50 years so successful as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary season."
