MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- SS Green Light Racing has announced that Jason Miller has joined the team as the crew chief for the No. 07 Chevy Silverado for the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Season.

Miller, a native of Indianapolis, Ind., made the transition to NASCAR racing in 1999 working as a mechanic and tire changer for Andy Petree Racing. He joined Bobby Hamilton Racing in 2002 and was a member of Hamilton's championship winning team in 2004.

In 2008, Miller became a first-time crew chief with The Racer's Group (TRG Motorsports) and scored his first Truck Series victory at Mansfield with rookie driver Donny Lia. Miller then led David Starr to a ninth-place finish in the 2009 Truck point standings with four top-five and 14 top-10 finishes.

"The trucks are about racing and that is why I love the series so much," Miller said. "I have always respected Bobby Dotter and what he was able to get from his team and drivers with very limited resources and we have talked a lot over the last several years. The timing for us getting together finally worked out and I am really happy to be with SS Green Light Racing for 2010."

In 2009, the SS Green Light No. 07 team had nine top-10 starts including two outside poles and was competitive throughout the season with one top-five and five top-10 finishes with Chad McCumbee behind the wheel.

"The improvement of the No. 07's on-track performance was very noticeable last year. This is a young team that is only going to get better. Our goal is to continue that growth to become a consistent top-10 team in 2010," Miller added.

Team co-owner Dotter is pleased to have Miller on top of the pit box.

"Jason is one of the hardest workers in the Truck garage," Dotter said. "He's a Midwestern guy who understands the big picture and he's willing to put forth the effort to reach his goals. It's hard to find people with his work ethic and dedication, Ken [Smith, co-owner] and I feel fortunate to have him join our team."

Sponsorship and driver announcements for the SS Green Light Racing team will be released in the coming weeks before the season opener at Daytona on Feb. 12.
