SS Green Light Racing announced Monday it has completed its 2010 Camping World Truck Series roster with the signing of two-time Whelen Modified Champion Donny Lia for the upcoming season. Lia will drive the team's No. 21 truck for the season opener at Daytona under the guidance of veteran Butch Miller.
The Long Island, NY, racer originally started racing Legends cars full time in 2000 where he scored more than 20 victories before moving to Modifieds in 2001. In 2007, Lia had six wins and won the Whelen Modified Tour Championship.

Lia moved to the Truck Series full time in 2008 and scored his first career victory at Mansfield in his ninth start.
The 2009 season held four more Whelen Modified Tour wins as well as Lia's second series championship in three years. For SS Green Light Racing co-owner and general manager Bobby Dotter, Lia is the ultimate hard-nosed racer.
"I've watched him race in the Modifieds for the past seven or eight years and he has absolutely impressed me with his speed and car control. Those cars are a real handful to drive," Dotter said.
After running the No.21 at Daytona, the SS Green Light team plans for Lia to share the No. 07 with Tony Jackson Jr. and crew chief Jason Miller.
"When the opportunity came up to pare Donny with Jason Miller -- who was his crew chief in 2008 -- we worked hard to make the deal," Dotter said. "I'm really excited about how the SS Green Light team is coming together for 2010."
"I appreciate the interest and efforts that Bobby has made into making this deal happen for me," Lia said. "He's an old-school racer and is all about hard work, improving the team and winning races.
"I look forward to working with Butch at Daytona, he has won so many races and he is an absolute wealth of knowledge. SS Green Light will have three solid trucks for this race and our goals are to work together and help each other get to the front. I'm hoping one of us will be able to push another into Victory Lane."
