No. 57 team member hit with indefinite suspension

Crew chief cited for violating substance-abuse policy

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- William Wheeler, a crew member for the No. 57 team in the Camping World Truck Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body's substance-abuse policy.

Wheeler violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2010 NASCAR rule book.

Wheeler is listed as the crew chief on both Norm Benning Racing's Truck Series vehicle and Cup car.
