Lap 194 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: Big wreck on the backstretch after Elliott Sadler gets loose collecting Travis Kvapil and Ryan Newman. Newman slams the wall hard but is OK.

Lap 193 -- The top five of Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have opened up a gap between them and the field.

Lap 191 -- Kurt Busch with a great move to get to third. Juan Montoya on the move up to eighth.

Lap 173 -- Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler got together causing some damage to the No. 9. Kahne scored in 20th.

Lap 172 -- The cars are still two-wide and Scott Speed remains the leader of the inside line.

Lap 170 -- Denny Hamlin gets shuffled to the middle and he falls back to 14th. Dale Earnhardt Jr. 21st, Mark Martin 15th.

6:30 p.m. -- Drivers are starting their engines for a third time tonight as the race gets ready to resume.

6:22 p.m. -- The drivers have been called back to their cars and are getting back in.

6:11 p.m. -- Repairs continue in Turns 1 and 2 as officials try to fill the hole permanently.

5:55 p.m. -- Kevin Harvick says the hole is bigger this time than earlier.

5:47 p.m. -- The drivers are allowed to exit their cars.

Lap 161 -- RED FLAG: The cars are again going to stop on pit road and the race will be halted for a second time.

Lap 159 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Caution is out for more track issues in Turns 1 and 2 as the hole is back. Michael McDowell gets the free pass for the third consecutive caution and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 158 -- Jimmie Johnson and David Ragan bump but both continue.

Lap 157 -- Jeff Gordon has dropped back to 17th. Dale Earnhardt Jr. up to seventh.

Lap 155 -- Juan Montoya and Kevin Harvick are side-by-side at the line. Greg Biffle up to fourth. A.J. Allmendinger back in the race scored 12 laps down.

Lap 140 -- After multiple pit stops, Tony Stewart is stuck in 31st.

Lap 139 -- A.J. Allmendinger has worked his way up to ninth. Martin Truex Jr. got a great push and jumps to second.

Lap 138 -- LEAD CHANGE: Kevin Harvick edges Clint Bowyer at the line.

Lap 137 -- Elliott Sadler got loose after a bump from Kevin Harvick and dropped to 14th.

Lap 136 -- LEAD CHANGE: Clint Bowyer is back out front.

Lap 134 -- Things are backward up front. RCR's Kevin Harvick is pushing RPM's Elliott Sadler while Sadler's teammate Kasey Kahne is pushing Harvick's teammate Clint Bowyer.

Lap 133 -- LEAD CHANGE: Elliott Sadler edges Clint Bowyer at the line as the front pack remains two-wide.

Lap 132 -- Jeff Gordon has worked his way up to eighth. Jimmie Johnson up to 21st.

Lap 131 -- LEAD CHANGE: Clint Bowyer on the outside is back out front.

Lap 124 -- Matt Kenseth has the hood up on pit road. Jimmie Johnson and Michael Waltrip back on pit road.

Lap 123 -- Pit road is open but only a handful of drivers take advantage. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Newman, Denny Hamlin, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Bobby Labonte among those to pit. Tony Stewart also returns to pit road.

5:03 p.m. -- YELLOW FLAG: The drivers are rolling off pit road as the race is back under the yellow. The red flag lasted one hour and 42 minutes. Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson remain on pit road as everyone else rolls off.

5 p.m. -- Drivers have been given the command to start the engines.

4:52 p.m. -- The drivers are being called back to their cars.

4:21 p.m. -- It's been an hour under the red flag and officials are still working on the track, making sure it's perfect when they get back to racing. NASCAR chairman Brian France says the recent rain has prevented the "normal" procedure from working. France says usually this wouldn't take as long but officials are on their third attempt at fixing the track.

3:54 p.m. -- The 10 minutes was a little optimistic as drivers are now able to exit their cars while track repair continues.

3:41 p.m. -- The track should be finished within 10 minutes according to officials and at that point, the cars will be back under yellow.

3:34 p.m. -- Thirteen minutes into the red flag and track repair is still ongoing to fix the hole in the race track in Turns 1 and 2.

Lap 122 -- RED FLAG: There is a hole in the race track so the cars are on pit road so crews can look at the track.

Lap 121 -- LEAD CHANGE: Boris Said pits giving the lead to Clint Bowyer, who won the race off pit road. Brad Keselowski and Sam Hornish Jr. will be the wave-around cars.

Lap 120 -- LEAD CHANGE: Travis Kvapil pits giving the lead to Boris Said. Jimmie Johnson back on pit road for more repairs. Bill Elliott also on pit road.

Lap 119 -- LEAD CHANGE: Travis Kvapil leads and collects five bonus points. Boris Said also stays out.

Lap 118 -- All but two lead-lap cars hit pit road.

Lap 108 -- LEAD CHANGE: Clint Bowyer is back out front after passing Greg Biffle, who passed Jeff Gordon just after the start/finish line.

Lap 106 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jeff Gordon goes low to pass Clint Bowyer for the lead.

Lap 103 -- Jimmie Johnson is up to 14th. Ryan Newman is 29th. Matt Kenseth is 30th.

Lap 102 -- The field is two-wide from front to back as the racing gets a little more intense.

Lap 100 -- LEAD CHANGE: This time it's Clint Bowyer's turn to go to the outside and take the lead with Kyle Busch following him.

Lap 98 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jeff Gordon goes to the outside and edges Kyle Busch at the line. Clint Bowyer follows Gordon and moves to second.

Noon -- Pre-race coverage of the Daytona 500 is under way on FOX.

11:50 a.m. ET -- It is a beautiful day in Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Great American Race. It's currently 52 degrees under mostly sunny skies and should remain sunny throughout the afternoon. Green for the Daytona 500 is scheduled for 1:19 p.m. with Mark Martin on the pole.
