Getting there

From the North: Take U.S. 220 S/U.S. 220 Bypass S to U.S. 58 E. Turn left onto U.S. 58. Make a right onto U.S. 220 Business S Turn left onto Industrial Park Dr. Free speedway parking will be on the right.

From the South: Take U.S. 220 N to Martinsville. Continue on U.S. 220 Business N/Greensboro Rd. Turn right onto Old Sand Rd. Free speedway parking will be on the left.

From the East: Take 58 W to 220. Once you are close to the speedway there is an exit (that is only open on Sunday of race weekend) directly off of the 58 Bypass that will bring you to Speedway Property -- Virginia State Police will direct you. Free speedway parking will be on the left.

From the West: Take 58 E to Martinsville and turn right onto U.S. 220 Business S. Take a left onto Industrial Park Dr. Free speedway parking will be on the right.

What to bring

The speedway allows each fan to bring:

• One soft-sided bag/cooler, no larger than 6x6x12 inches. Examples include: a soft-sided cooler, a scanner bag, a fanny pack, a purse, a diaper bag or a binocular bag, etc. The soft-sided insulated cooler may contain ice.

• One clear plastic bag, no larger than 18x18x4 inches to accommodate samples received and purchases made after fans have parked their cars. Clear plastic bags may not contain ice.

• Binoculars, scanners, headsets and cameras -- not in a bag -- worn separately over the neck or on the belt, and seat cushions carried separately are also allowed. Seat cushions with compartments will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Get to the track early, hang out and tailgate. Bring the grill, chairs, horseshoes and food.

Parking and camping

Reserved camping sites are located in the following areas: backstretch, Turn 3 and campground entrance. To reserve a camping site in these areas, you must be on the renewal ticketing system for both Nextel Cup events at the Martinsville Speedway. The North Lot is a reserved camping area for one Nextel Cup event only and is non-renewable.

Non-reserved camping sites open the Saturday a week prior to race day at 8 a.m. To hold your spot, you must place an RV on the site at the time of your arrival. No additional spots may be held or marked/roped off. Each person can acquire only one campsite. One vehicle is allowed per site. Shower and restroom trailers are on site for your convenience. Due to heavy traffic and congestion around the speedway following the race, vehicles in the campground area will be held approximately two hours for safety consideration in crossing the railroad tracks.

Speedway parking is free. Where you park on Speedway Property is determined from which direction you enter Speedway Property and which way they let you leave.

Private parking and camping: There are private properties around the speedway offering camping and parking. Some are fields and some are people's backyards. Prices vary.
