1: The number of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Martinsville Speedway won by a driver from a starting position outside the top 25. Kurt Busch did the honors in 2002, winning the Oct. 20 Old Dominion 500 from the 36th starting spot. Only four other times in 128 races at the .526-mile short track has a driver won from a starting spot outside the top 20 -- Jack Smith (23rd in 1956), Lee Petty (24th in 1959), John Andretti (21st in 1999) and Mark Martin (21st in 2000).
