Veteran crew chief Donnie Wingo gets the best opportunity of his 12-year career in 2003. Wingo, 43, will serve as the head wrench for rookie Jamie McMurray at Chip Ganassi Racing.

Wingo had spent the last seven years as a crew chief at Haas Carter Motorsports, where he worked primarily with Jimmy Spencer.

Wingo’s cars have won four races, most notably in 1992 when he won twice while working with Geoff Bodine.
