	Larry Carter began serving as Rusty Wallace's crew chief in 2004. Carter, the nephew of NASCAR team owner Travis Carter, was crew chief for Haas Carter Motorsports but left the team in 2002 before going to BACE Motorsports in 2003 to take the head wrench job for rookie Tony Raines.
