Crew chief Mike Beam joins Richard Childress' No. 30 team in 2003.
Beam's Winston Cup career began with Petty Enterprises in 1981, where he worked as a mechanic before being promoted to crew chief that same year. Since then, Beam has served as crew chief with several highly respected organizations.
He took on team management roles at both Bill Elliott Racing and Galaxy Motorsports before serving as Ricky Craven's crew chief at PPI Motorsports.
