Paul Andrews began his career in 1979 when he worked on Rusty Wallace's USAC team. While working with Wallace, he moved into the ASA series in 1983 where the team won the championship that year.

Andrews' Cup series career has been in full swing since 1988 when he was crew chief for the late Alan Kulwicki. Andrews and Kulwicki marched to a NASCAR championship and captured two wins and six poles in 1992. In 1993 Andrews went on to work with drivers such as Geoffrey Bodine and Jeremy Mayfield. In 1999, Andrews began working at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. with Steve Park and the No. 1 team garnering two wins.

Over the past 14 years, Andrews has accumulated 12 total Cup victories, 30 poles, 76 top-five and 149 top-10 finishes.
