Robbie Loomis joined Hendrick Motorsports in 2000 and got his first win with Jeff Gordon at Talladega Superspeedway.
He first became a crew chief in 1991 for Richard Petty. Loomis stayed with Petty Enterprises through the 1999 season, directing the team to three wins -- two by Bobby Hamilton in 1996 and 1997, and one by John Andretti in 1999.
In 2001, Loomis led Gordon to six victories and Gordon's most recent NASCAR title.
