Steve Addington was named crew chief for Bobby Labonte and the No. 18 Chevrolet in 2004.

Addington spent the 2004 season as crew chief for Mike Bliss on the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Busch Series team. Addington helped Bliss to a fifth-place finish in points and to his first career Busch Series victory Oct. 15 at Charlotte. The team also earned 14 top-10 finishes.

Prior to working with JGR, Addington was crew chief for Jason Keller in the Busch Series, first at KEL Racing from 1991-96 and then at ppc Racing from 1999-2003.

While working with Keller at ppc Racing, Addington helped Keller to runner-up finishes in the Busch Series championship in 2000 and 2002, as well as a third-place finish in 2001 and a fifth-place finish in 2003.

In 1997-98, Addington worked in several forms of racing before returning the Busch Series ranks with Keller.

While at KEL Racing, Addington helped Keller to a fourth-place finish in Busch Series points in 1995, followed by a sixth-place finish in 1996. In 11 years with Keller, Addington won 10 races and 11 Busch Poles. He also helped Keller to 69 top-five and 122 top-10 finishes.

Prior to working in NASCAR, Addington worked on dirt cars with Keller before moving to Busch Series competition in 1991.

Addington, who resides in Mooresville, N.C., has two children, Cole and Ashlyn.
