From 1995-2001, Jack Sprague kept busy starting every NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race and winning three championships.
Sprague earned perhaps his most satisfying championship in 2001, as he came from behind to ultimately score four wins and a series leading seven Bud Poles.
He had a full-time teammate for the first time in Ricky Hendrick, his team owner's son. It was a relationship that owner Rick Hendrick wanted to carry into the Busch Series for 2002.
Sprague returned to the Busch Series full-time in 2002, finishing fifth in the series standings with a win at Nashville in June. Sprague was a semi-regular in the series for three of the four years between 1990-1993.
In 2003, Sprague attemped a full-time Cup series run for Haas CNC Racing. He struggled mightily, averaging a 28th-place finish in 18 starts.
In late 2003, Sprague was signed to return to the NCTS full-time with IWX Racing.
