2010: NASCAR makes it official: The rear wing will give way to the spoiler on Sprint Cup cars. Although NASCAR doesn't indicate which race will be the last for the rear wing, speculation centers on the Food City 500 at Bristol. It indeed turns out to be the spring Bristol race, and Jimmie Johnson wins the final race with the wing. One week later, at Martinsville, the spoiler returns and Denny Hamlin gets his first of eight wins of the year.
