1961: Former Nationwide Series driver Tom Bolles is born on this day. Bolles started 11 Nationwide races in the 1990s. Bolles, of Connecticut, made all but one of his starts in the Northeast -- five races at Loudon, four at Nazareth and one at Watkins Glen. His best finish was ninth twice, in '95 and '97 at Loudon. His lone start outside the region was at Daytona in 1996. Most of Bolles' NASCAR starts were in the K&N Pro East Series and Whelen Modified Tour.
