1949: Bobby Gahan is born on this day. He started three then-Busch Series races in the 1980s, all at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine. Gahan, of Lee, N.H., finished 24th in each of his first two starts (1986 and '87) and 39th in a field of 47 cars in 1988. Oxford Plains is a one-third mile track that hosted three Cup races in the 1960s and five Nationwide races overall.
