Lap 60 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Jeff Burton beats Clint Bowyer to the line for his first Speedweeks win as several cars wreck toward the back of the field.

Lap 59 -- WHITE FLAG: Jeff Burton leads. Kyle Busch is mounting a charge.

Lap 58 -- Jeff Burton leads the field with Clint Bowyer on his bumper.

Lap 57 -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer lead the field to green from the front row. Burton drops down and picks up Bowyer.

Lap 54 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Todd Bodine crashes out of contention.

Lap 53 -- Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle find the front again in their Fords.

Lap 51 -- Brian Keselowski is getting a push from brother Brad and has moved into seventh. Jamie mcMurray is trying to stay hooked to Kyle Busch but can't.

Lap 50 -- Carl Edwards gets a good jump on the restart and maintains the lead.

Lap 49 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green from the inside with Jeff Burton on the high side.

Lap 48 -- Denny Hamlin is on pit road for tires.

Lap 46 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: With Kyle Busch on his bumper, Denny Hamlin gets loose and slides below the yellow line.

Lap 45 -- Brad Keselowski is pushing his brother Brian, who is trying to race his way into the Daytona 500.

Lap 44 -- Carl Edwards takes the lead.

Lap 43 -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Gordon leads the field to green, pulls down in front of Trevor Bayne and maintains the lead.

Lap 42 -- There are 22 cars on the lead lap and there have been eight different race leaders and 16 lead changes.

Lap 41 -- Jeff Gordon is out front and will lead the field to green on the outside. Gordon will look to pair with Trevor Bayne and get a push from the rookie.

Lap 40 -- Brad Keselowski is on pit road and getting repairs.

Lap 39 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Brad Keselowski gets loose while drafting, slides through the grass but appears to have minimal damage.

Lap 38 -- Denny hamlin rounds out the top 10.

Lap 37 -- Jeff Gordon and Tervor Bayne pair up and run to the front.

Lap 35 -- Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer appear to be settled into the lead and are holding off Greg Biffle and Jeff Gordon.

Lap 33 -- Jeff Burton leads.

Lap 30 -- Jeff Burton finds the front but can't keep it long as Jeff Gordon and Trevor Bayne continue to be fast.

Lap 29 -- Fords finds the front with Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle leading the way.

Lap 28 -- Martin Truex Jr. loses contact with Denny Hamlin and the pair drops back in the field.

Lap 27 -- Martin Truex Jr. finds the front and is pushed by Denny Hamlin. Jeff Gordon and Trevor Bayne drop to 5-6.

Lap 26 -- Trevor Bayne appears to be gaining confidence as he pairs up with Jeff Gordon. Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton are fast and running 3-4, poised to challenge for the lead.

Lap 25 -- Jeff Gordon takes the lead with Trevor Bayne on his bumper.

Lap 23 -- Clint Bowyer takes back the lead.

Lap 21 -- Kyle Busch can't find help until Denny Hamlin moved up. As a result, Busch drops to ninth.

Lap 20 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green with Kyle Busch at his side. Jeff Gordon is pleased with Trevor Bayne on his bumper and turns down an opportunity to pair with Kyle Busch. The Ford cars appear to push well without overheating.

Lap 17 -- Pit road is a busy place. Most of the field takes fuel. Martin Truex Jr. takes two tires.

Lap 15 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Joey Logano hits the wall and slides through the grass. Denny Hamlin may have a flat tire.

Lap 14 -- Jeff Gordon returns to the front with Trevor Bayne tagging along.

Lap 13 -- Greg Biffle finds the bumper of Carl Edwards, gives him a push and moves Edwards into the lead.

Lap 11 -- Carl Edwards moves into third and is doing battle with Jamie McMurray for second.

Lap 10 -- Kyle Busch and Jamie McMurray have paired up and pushed to the front with plenty of speed. At some point, McMurray will back off to find clean air and cool the engine

Lap 8 -- Kyle Busch catches Clint Bowyer and takes the lead. Jeff Gordon and Trevor Bayne are off the high side of the track and moving to the front in a hurry.

Lap 7 -- Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton are out front and running strong. Kyle Busch has paired with Jamie McMurray and the two will do battle with Bowyer and Burton for the lead. Cars running on the outside aren't near as fast today and drivers are figuring out fast that paiting up and moving to the bottom of the track provides a better opportunity for advancement.

Lap 6 -- GREEN FLAG: Clint Bowyer leads the field to green. Bowyer pairs quickly with Jeff Burton. Kyle Busch finds Jamie McMurray.

Lap 4 -- Clint Bowyer will lead the field to green and will look to pair quickly with Jeff Burton. Kyle Busch will start third, followed by Greg Biffle.

Lap 3 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Casey Mears blows an engine and is headed home.

Lap 2 - Jamie McMurray moves into third with a push from Kyle Busch.

Lap 1 -- Clint Bowyer and Jeff Burton connect and jump out to the lead. Jeff Gordon jumps in from of Trevor Bayne and asks for a push but the pair drop quickly out of the top 10.

4:05 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Gordon and rookie Trevor Bayne lead the field to green from the front row for 60 laps of racing.

3:53 p.m. -- The cars are off pit road and taking their warm-up laps.

3:51 p.m. -- Murphy Reynolds gives the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

3:34 p.m. -- Kurt Busch is on the pole for the Daytona 500 and we're moments away from the second Duel race at Daytona. Jeff Gordon has won the Duel race five times and will start from the front row.

Lap 62 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Kurt Busch gets a push from Regan Smith on the final lap and wins the first Duel. J.J. Yeley and Bill Elliott race their way into the Daytona 500. Michael Waltrip now becomes eligible for The Great American Race. Busch says he doesn't want Speedweeks to end and thanks his drafting partner -- Regan Smith -- from Victory Lane.

Lap 61 -- WHITE FLAG: The field pairs up with Kurt Busch finding with some help from Regan Smith.

Lap 60 -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne leads the field to green and will look to hook up with Juan Montoya through Turn 1.

Lap 56 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Michael McDowell has smoke coming from the engine and is headed to the garage. Kasey Kahne is the new leader.

Lap 55 -- Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick lead the field, followed by Kasey Kahne and Juan Montoya.

Lap 53 -- Kurt Busch is fast, but can he last? The driver reports his engine getting hotter by the second.

Lap 52 -- As the leaders run into traffic, Marcos Ambrose moves up the track to give them room. Jimmie Johnson moves into eighth.

Lap 50 -- Matt Kenseth continues to lead. Dale Junior pairs up with mark martin to run 11-12 -- 20 seconds behind the leaders.

Lap 48 -- Matt Kenseth and his spotter are plotting strategy from the front and said he'd be happy to switch with Kevin Harvick and give him a push for a change. Both drivers have proved difficult to pass.

Lap 46 -- Bill Elliott rounds out the top 10.

Lap 45 -- Matt Kenseth leads the field, followed by Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Juan Montoya and Regan Smith.

Lap 44 -- Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick have paired up and are pushing each other at the front of the field.

Lap 43 -- Matt Kenseth leads the field.

Lap 41 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. has fallen off the pace and appears to be waiting for Mark Martin to catch up. Matt Kenseth pits, takes fuel only. Kurt Busch is on pit road in the No. 22 and takes fuel only.

Lap 39 -- Most of the field pits. Jimmie Johnson takes fuel, no tires. Tony Stewart takes tires to the right side and fuel. Dale Earnhardt Jr. takes fuel only.

Lap 38 -- Bill Elliott and Brian Vickers head to pit road.

Lap 35 -- Paul Menard rounds out the top 10 as A.J. Allmendinger trades positions with Jimmie Johnson to claim the fifth spot.

Lap 34 -- Kevin Harvick leads the field, then gives it back to Kurt Busch.

Lap 33 -- We're close to green flag pit stops and strategy points to drivers taking fuel only.

Lap 32 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. moves into ninth. Jimmie Johnson moves up to fifth.

Lap 31 -- Kurt Busch gets a push for the lead.

Lap 30 -- Eight pairs of cars are racing up front. Kasey Kahne takes the lead.

Lap 28 -- Kurt Busch and Regan Smith are proving to be a good pair as the two take turns pushing each other around the track and into the lead. Several pairs of cars are taking turns swapping positions and pushing each other around the track.

Lap 27 -- Kevin Harvick finds the front.

Lap 24 -- Kurt Busch and Regan Smith are challenging Kasey Kahne and Juan Montoya to lead the field.

Lap 23 -- Kasey Kahne leads the lap with a push from Juan Montoya.

Lap 22 -- Jimmie Johnson moves into ninth with some help from A.J. Allmendinger.

Lap 21 -- Regan Smith and Kurt Busch are swapping positions on the track and taking turns giving each other a push.

Lap 19 -- Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick are trading the lead.

Lap 17 -- Kurt Busch is giving Kevin Harvick a run for his money as both drivers work with others to get a push through the turns.

Lap 16 -- Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth continue to lead up front. Tony Stewart is running hot and searching for clean air.

Lap 13 -- Kevin Harvick moves to the front with Matt Kenseth.

Lap 11 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets a push from Bill Elliott and cracks the top 10.

Lap 10 -- Using their radios, Tony Stewart and Mark Martin and talking directly to each other, planning their swaps around the track at Daytona.

Lap 9 -- Mark Martin and Tony Stewart open a 1.7-second lead ahead of the field. Kurt Busch is making a charge with help from Regan Smith.

Lap 8 -- As most of the field mixes things up behind them, Mark Martin and Tony Stewart have hooked up and increased their lead by several car lengths.

Lap 7 -- Mark Martin leads the lap with Tony Stewart on his bumper.

Lap 6 -- GREEN FLAG: Paul Menard leads the field to green from the outside. Mark Martin restarts on the inside.

Lap 5 -- Paul Menard elects the outside on the restart with Juan Montoya behind him.

Lap 4 -- Mark Martin reports the car is running a little too hot for his liking.

Lap 3 -- Ryan Newman has left pit road with a fresh set of tires.

Lap 2 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Ryan Newman spins but keeps the car off the wall in Turn 2.

Lap 1 -- Paul Menard pairs up with Mark Martin and Menard leads the first lap.

2:20 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Ryan Newman leads the field to green as Dale Earnhardt Jr. drops to the rear. Jimmie Johnson drops to the back as well after an engine change Wednesday.

2:11 p.m. -- The cars are off pit road and taking their warm-up laps.

2:08 p.m. -- Children of Ed Shull give the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

2:01 p.m. -- Johnny Mayo performs the national anthem.

2 p.m. -- Pastor Sonny Gallman delivers the Invocation.

1:19 p.m. -- We're less than an hour away from the first of two Duel races at Daytona. After crashing during practice on Wednesday, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drop to the back of the field in a backup car.

11:05 a.m. ET -- It is a beautiful day in Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Gatorade Duel qualifying races. It's currently 70 degrees under mostly sunny skies and should remain sunny throughout the afternoon.
