CONCORD, N.C. -- Roush Fenway's Greg Biffle and his two pilots were involved in a minor incident Wednesday morning while landing at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Ky. A mechanical failure during the landing caused the airplane to skid to a stop on the runway. No one on board the aircraft was injured.

Biffle is coming off a 28th-place finish at Las Vegas in a race where fuel issues thwarted an otherwise fast car. Biffle's team couldn't get his tank full and he eventually ran out of gas before the next pit stop.

For Biffle, it has been a bad start to the season, which began with a crash at Daytona and a 20th-place finish at Phoenix. He's currently 31st in the driver standings, 63 points out of the lead.

Now in his 10th year in the Cup Series, Biffle has 16 career victories and has made the Chase in each of the past three years. His best season was in 2005, when he won a series-high six races and finished second in points.

Biffle owns championships in the Truck (2000) and Nationwide (2002) series.
